March 11, 2026 • Harry Styles just released his new album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. It’s his fourth solo album since leaving the boy band One Direction, and the follow-up to Harry’s House, which won album of the year at the Grammys. The new album is a fairly radical departure, inspired by dance floors and post-punk music. But it still swoons, as any Harry Styles record must.

“Aperture” isn’t a disco song, yet it still sounds retro, harkening back to a period of soft, electro-pop music made in the mid-2000s.

June 28, 2022 • The best albums from the first half of the year include sprawling offerings from Big Thief and Bad Bunny, works of fiery introspection from Kendrick Lamar and S.G. Goodman and an abundance in between.

Roséwave is light and breezy, but not necessarily unsophisticated — the sound of an experience kissed by sweet summer heat.

May 26, 2022 • Harry Styles has just released his third solo album, called Harry’s House. The new record finds the former One Direction singer presiding over a bunch of breezy, unfailingly pleasant love songs. The new album has already spawned a No. 1 single with the song “As It Was” and comes after 2019’s Fine Line, which won Styles his first Grammy.

On Harry’s House, Harry Styles’ moods shuffle from one bassline to the next; the album feels marked by an uncanny collision of influences.

May 24, 2022 • On his third solo album, Styles relies on a proficient but unadventurous process of combining his influences. His habit of paying homage to his idols too often conceals his own creative vision.
